Student care by external parties during school hours
We notice that students increasingly receive external help during school hours (both inside and outside school). As a consequence, these students miss a lot of instruction and explanation. In addition, we do not have enough treatment space within the new school to allow this support to take place within the school. We therefore had to decide to only allow support that is offered from education (such as CPO, Taalbrug, Mytylschool, etc.) to take place at school during school hours from school year 2022-2023. We do this because this support is aimed both at supporting the child and at strengthening teacher action. In addition, this support is financed from education fees. Support for the child that is not funded by education (e.g. speech therapy, occupational therapy) will have to take place outside school hours and outside the school In exceptional cases, after coordination with the internal guidance and with the permission of the management, it remains possible to have this support take place during school hours. We use the “Student care by external parties during school hours” scheme that applies to all schools within Kempenkind.
The above does not apply to treatment for Severe Single Dyslexia. In these cases, agreements are made between parents, school and the practitioner in a different way.
